Q: How do I get to The Newport on Macrossan from the airport?
Port Douglas is located 60kms north of Cairns International Airport.
We can arrange transfers to pick you up and drop you off or it is an easy drive up the coast in a hire car.

Q: Where are you located in Port Douglas?
We are located on the main street of Port Douglas across the road from the Port Village Shopping Centre and Coles Supermarket. Please click here to see on map.

Q: What are your office hours?
Our office is open from 8am to 5.30pm every day AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time)

Q: What happens if I am arriving outside office hours?
If you are arriving late we will leave your room key in our key safe located on the front of our office and a letter out beside the key safe with instructions on how to get to your room and how to get your key out of the key safe.
We generally use your mobile phone number that you provided when making the booking, followed by the hash key#, as the code to access the key safe.


Q: What deposit do your require?

To confirm your booking we require the cost of one nights’ accommodation as a deposit.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel your booking 21 days or more prior to arrival your deposit will be refunded less an administration fee of $55.00. If cancellation is 21 days or less from the date of your arrival, your deposit (less the administration fee of $55.00) will only be refunded if the apartment is re-let for the total period of the original booking.

Q: What are the Check In and Check Out times?
Check in is at 2.00pm and check out is 10.00am.
We can arrange a late check out if required subject to availability.

Q: Is the swimming pool heated?
Yes, we solar heat our swimming pool, the climate in Port Douglas is perfect for it, even in the middle winter the pool temperature during the day is a very comfotable 29 degrees celsius

Q: How close is the beach?
It is only about a five minute walk to Four Mile Beach.

Q: Do you book tours?
Yes at no extra charge. We have a tour desk and because we are not associated with any tour companies, we are happy to give you unbiased, free advice. All tours booked through us can be charged to your room.


Q: Do you service the room every day?
No, the rooms are serviced mid week on a seven or more day stay and weekly thereafter.

Q: Do you have internet access?
Yes, we have wireless broadband available accessable from every room.

Q: Do you supply pool towels?
Yes. There are pool towels provided in the room at no extra charge.

Q: Do the rooms have a hairdryer?
Yes. There is one in every ensuite.

Q: Do the rooms have an iron?
Yes. An iron and iron board is supplied in each apartment.

Q: Is breakfast included in the price?
No, breakfast is not included in the price as we do not have a restaurant onsite but we do have a huge selection of places to dine all around us though.

Q: Do the apartments have laundry facilities?
Not in the apartments themselves, though we do have a guest laundry onsite.
