The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority has only granted 4 permits allowing tour operators to visit Low Isles on a daily basis. Sailaway is one of them and is recognized as a “High Standard Operator” as such,  Sailaway has had its eco friendly practices rewarded  by being granted unrestricted daily access to Low Isles. This means Sailaway and its guests moor at Low Isles prior to any other tour vessels arrival.

Sailaway guests enjoy prime “quiet time “and make the first footprints on the beach at Low Isle. This full day cruise moors at the sheltered blue lagoon of Low Isles for over five hours.  Guests have ample time to see and explore everything on offer at Low Isles as well as relax and soak up the natural ambience of this precious environment.

The lagoon at Low Isles is alive with fragile corals and marine life; snorkeling is the easiest way to see and experience this World Heritage Site.  The white sandy beach  on Low Isles offers easy access  to the sheltered water in which guests can learn to snorkel or perfect their technique. 

Over 100 turtles reside in the blue lagoon at Low Isles and snorkelers are almost guaranteed of spotting or swimming alongside at least one or two.

The extended stay ensures guests have plenty of time to walk around the island and discover the interesting history which dates back to 1878, or just take it easy under the coconut palms.
